The Cause Of Experiencing Mental Disorders?
, I want to ask why people can get mental disorders?
Hello Early, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Psychiatric disorders are defined as a collection of symptoms (syndromes) that are characterized by a disturbance in the ability of one's cognition, emotional regulation, or behavior that reflects an impairment of one's psychological, biological or mental development processes.
The cause of this disorder itself is not known with certainty, but there are 3 main factors that can make a person at high risk of experiencing psychiatric disorders, namely:
Biological factors which include:
Hereditary factors (genetic)
Disorders of brain function
Infection of the brain
Impaired brain development during pregnancy
Psychological factors which include:
Psychological trauma as a child, for example, abuse
The loss of the most loved or valuable person in life suddenly, such as the loss of parents
Difficulty dealing with others
Environmental factors which include:
New changes in life such as school or work
Local social or cultural expectations
One or even the combination of the three factors above can cause a person's psychiatric side to experience severe stress so that their psyche cannot cope with the stressor which results in a psychiatric disorder as part of the person's psychiatric side to sustain themselves or resolve the stressor.
I hope this helps.
