The Cause Of Feet Is Often Painful And Difficult To Walk?
Afternoon. My name is beautiful wijaya. I want to ask about the illness that often suffered by my father. My father is 52 years old and has a history of stroke 9 years ago. In the past few months, my father has often complained of pain in the legs with extreme pain that makes it difficult to walk and sleep. When going to a general practitioner diagnosed with arthritis and gout. After taking medicine from the doctor for a few moments my father was relieved but relapsed again then the doctor suggested to the neurologist for therapy and was given nerve medication and a blood check and the results were normal. 3 days ago my father slipped but did not fall and caused his legs like sprained and his body hot. What disease do you have? And how to treat it? Thank you
Good evening, thanks for the question
Sprained foot condition or in medical language referred to as sprain and strain is an injury to the ligaments, muscles, or tendons due to excessive stretching. The locations that most often experience sprains and strains are ankles, hamstring muscles, and lower back.
The symptoms can be in the form of pain, difficulty moving associated joints, swelling, swelling, or muscle stiffness.
In post stroke sufferers whose muscle strength does not return to the initial strength before a stroke does have a greater risk of injury to the muscles, ligaments, tendons and bones due to difficulty holding the load and balance the body.
General management when experiencing these conditions, namely:
1. Resting muscles for the first 2 days, then starting to move muscles gradually
2. Ice packs on the affected muscles 4 hours in one day for 3 days
3. If there is swelling, do muscle compression using elastic bandages.
4. If possible, elevate the foot higher than the chest position.
5. If the pain has not subsided, take simple painkillers such as paracetamol or ibuprofen.
If in its development there are symptoms of bruising and swelling that is getting heavier, pain that does not go away, or tingling, then immediately consult a doctor.
Thus, hopefully can help
