Good afternoon, I want to ask about my knee which has not healed for more than a month, I have seen a doctor and said infection, initially there was only one wound on my knee but next to it appeared another wound, the wound was initially small but now widened slightly with a liquid nana , a little blood and it feels sore. I have given the ointment and I often clean the wound but it doesn’t heal. I wonder why it is, then how to cure it? thank you 🙂

Hello Adindaffy,

Thank you for the question.

Wounds in the knee that produce pus and blood and feel sore can not only be caused by injury, such as a fall. It could also, injuries like this arise due to infection, as your doctor said. Various types of infections can cause injuries with these characteristics, for example due to bacteria, fungi, mites, or viruses. This infection often occurs related to poor personal hygiene. Immune system and close contact with sufferers of other skin infections can increase your risk of infection. Not just infection, injuries like yours may also be caused by contact dermatitis, insect bitten, insect bitten, and various other medical disorders.

Our advice, if you have ever seen a doctor and have not recovered, check yourself back to the doctor or dermatologist. That way, of course the doctor can give you the best treatment, whether with medication, wound care, or also supporting examinations (such as blood tests, wound tissue swabs, bacterial resistance culture, and so on).

In the meantime, what can be done is:

Clean the wound regularly with sterile gauze soaked with NaCl liquid, don't rub excessively, just remove the dead skin cells. Don't close the wound too tight. Take a shower and wear clean, loose pants. Don't touch the wound with dirty hands. ..
