The Cause Of Itching To Blackening Accompanied By Fever And Swollen Feet?
Good night, my father’s left leg where the lower ankle initially itched, then he scratched. And now there are cuts and wounds in black holes. Above her ankles there is a red bruise right next to the wound. His left leg ached when he was taken for a walk and it hurt to his thigh. And had 39C fever then the instep of the wound around the wound became swollen. I took my father to the puskesmas he said it was just an infection but there was no blood lab check done. What could it be because of what? Thank you
Hello Dwi, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Complaints experienced by your father can indeed be caused by an infection in the wound area and has spread to surrounding tissues such as cellulitis, abscesses, or gangrene (wound rot on the skin and underlying tissue).
Because it appears that the infection is quite extensive and severe, it is recommended to have the complaint checked by a surgeon for further evaluation so that it can be determined which therapy or medical treatment should be recommended for your father. New laboratory examination is recommended if it is based on doctor's consideration that your father needs certain tests to support further diagnosis or therapy, and is not a mandatory procedure.
In the meantime, you should immediately take your father further to a surgeon while continuing to consume the medicine given by the doctor at the dose so that there are further recommendations and keep the wound clean, dry, and not scratched. Nor is it advisable to consume or use any drug / ingredient in complaints without clear direction from a doctor.
If the fever complaints are felt continuously, the pain is increasing or there is a decrease in awareness immediately take it to the emergency room of the nearest hospital to get further treatment.
I hope this helps.
