The Cause Of Knee Pain Still After A Knee Injury 3 Months Ago?
Good afternoon I want to ask, I have had knee injuries repeatedly but 3 months ago was the last. My complaint is why until now my knee still hurts when used jogging? And it can’t be used for sprints? Feels painful and aching
Hello Septor, Thank you for the question.
Pain in the knee can be caused by a number of health conditions. The knee area is formed by a number of structures ranging from bones, joints, joint pads, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Problems / disturbances in each of these structures can cause similar complaints, namely pain in the knee. To ascertain the cause, of course, it requires a direct examination by a doctor. Some of the causes of knee pain are:
ligament injuries, either anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), posterior cruciate ligament (PCL), medial collateral ligament (MCL), or lateral collateral ligament (LCL)
How severe are your ACL injuries? ACL injuries can be in the form of sprain / tension or tears. Handling this injury depends on the severity of your condition and your physical activity. Recovery of an ACL injury can take a long time. With the right rehabilitation program, the knee patient can return to the initial condition before the injury. Sprain injuries require medical rehabilitation in the form of physical exercise to help restore knee strength and knee function. Without proper physical exercise, sufferers can continue to experience instability in the knee, which can further lead to repetitive injuries.
The best step you can do now is to consult with an orthopedic specialist directly to ascertain the cause of this knee pain complaint through a doctor's examination and other examinations. If it is caused by a long injury, the doctor will suggest further treatment which can be in the form of consultation with a medical rehabilitation specialist. Your doctor will re-examine your knee before deciding on a physical exercise program that you can go through.
Please limit your physical exercise for a while, especially if the knee pain gets worse.
Hopefully this information is useful.
