The Cause Of Legs Suddenly Cramps During Sleep That Can Not Walk?
Good morning doctor, this morning when I was sleeping, I woke up because my legs suddenly had severe cramps that I could not walk, whereas now I have a fam tumor, is there something to do with my illness, or is there another factor causing it? Thanks.
Hello Khasanah, Thank you for the question.
Mammary fibroadenoma (FAM) is a benign tumor that grows in the breast. This condition is not related to the muscle cramps you are experiencing. Leg cramps can be caused by various conditions, however, there are also those whose causes are not known with certainty. Some of the causes of leg cramps are:
suffered injury to the muscles for example due to exercise
blood circulation is not smooth, for example due to body position
mineral deficiencies such as potassium, calcium, magnesium
side effects of drugs
other diseases such as kidney disease, diabetes, thyroid hormone disorders
If this condition has only happened once, then you have nothing to worry about now because it might be triggered by sudden body movements during sleep or because of an incorrect body position that causes the imposition of certain body parts so that blood flow becomes disrupted. Please monitor this symptom first. If these symptoms occur repeatedly and more often, please consult your doctor immediately for further examination. Doctors need more complete information about your symptoms, examine you, and perform other assessments such as blood tests, ultrasound, angiography, and others to find the cause so the doctor can provide appropriate treatment.
Please do the following suggestions to prevent and deal with leg cramps:
consume enough water to prevent dehydration
consume nutritious foods including nuts and seeds
warm compresses on cramped areas of the body
do light muscle stretches on the cramped part
massage the cramped muscles slowly
I hope this helps.
