a month ago I had difficulty moving my legs and arms, even to get up or stand alone I was unable (like a paraplegic) after being checked at the health center my blood pressure reached 200 perapapa I do not know. the day even worse, finally I stopped the vit b12 amlodipine only that I drank and thank God gradually improved and my feet and hands healed normally again. But since two days ago I returned to relapse even though I had abstained from food and drink and continued to drink amlodipine the dose has been reduced to 5 mg … why is that?

Hello. Thank you for the question submitted to HealthReplies.com. We can understand the concern you feel.

There are several possibilities that can cause limbs to feel weak and difficult to move, including:

Stroke, a collection of localized / common neurological symptoms / signs that develop rapidly, decrease brain function, with symptoms lasting more than 24 hours or causing death. Symptoms that can be recognized from a stroke include: F (face, asymmetrical face when smiling), A (arms, difficult to lift one or both hands), S (speech, pelo talk), T (time, immediately bring it home sick if the closest person experiences these symptoms); risk factors include high blood pressure, diabetes mellitus, especially those that are not well controlled
Central nervous system infections, for example: meningitis / encephalitis / brain abscess, generally accompanied by symptoms of seizures, loss of consciousness, and fever
Head injury, for example: due to trauma / impact
Autoimmune diseases, for example: multiple sclerosis, Guillain-Barre syndrome
Metabolic disorders, for example: decreased blood sugar levels (hypoglycemia)
Psychological disorders, thought to be the cause if other possible causes have been eliminated

In order to obtain an appropriate evaluation, you are advised to immediately consult a doctor or neurologist. The doctor will carry out emergency treatment if there are indications, as well as evaluating through history taking, physical examination and support (according to indications found, for example: CT head scan) to address the underlying disease. At home, you are advised to get enough rest, eat a balanced nutritious diet, and be accompanied by your family while on the move to prevent the risk of falling.
