The Cause Of Menstruation Is Not Smooth Accompanied By Vaginal Discharge?
Good evening, I want to ask. I have been almost 3 months already .. no menstruation and I am a student. I am 19 years old. Does it have to do with my hormones? Or I was too stressed out too much thinking about something and a burden on the mind. Or how? But I experienced vaginal discharge which was quite unusual as usual for about 2 weeks after that it returned to normal. My menstrual cycle was indeed not smooth and I assumed it was because of my hormones. Does this need to be checked directly to the hospital or what? And his advice so that I can menstruate smoothly like what?
Hello Rachmania26, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Late menstruation in women your age is indeed quite often due to an imbalanced hormone or due to excessive stress (both physical stress and psychological stress). But there are several other conditions that can also cause menstrual irregularities such as:
Weight changes that change drastically in a short time
Excessive physical / sports activity
Pregnancy (for those who have sexually active)
Impaired thyroid hormone production
To ascertain whether your current complaint is due to hormonal disorders or not, it is highly recommended that you consult further with an obstetrician (can be in a hospital clinic or private practice). The doctor may suggest you to do some additional tests to make sure such as hormonal tests, reproductive tract ultrasound or other tests in accordance with the doctor's consideration of your condition. After that, the new therapy can be determined later on whether you need certain medicines or not.
In the meantime, you should try to avoid and deal with stress wherever possible, avoid drastic weight changes or extreme diets, avoid excessive exercise, and make sure you get enough nutrition and rest everyday.
It is not advisable to take any medicines, especially drugs that contain hormones to overcome your complaints without the advice of the doctor who examined you.
I hope this helps.
