The Cause Of Nasal Pain Accompanied By Discharge And Headaches Between The Eyes?
Alodok Night, my nose feels painful, from the base of the nose to the nostrils and runny nose too, but it is runny and clear, with a slight headache in the area between my eyes. Is this sinus? And when you brush your teeth and when you rinse, there’s blood clotted. I think it’s coming out of the nasal cavity.
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Pain that is felt in the nose can be caused by many possibilities. Sinusitis can indeed cause symptoms such as pain at the base of the nose and headaches, but usually sinusitis is also accompanied by symptoms of a yellowish discharge or thick greenish from the nose, or mucus that feels to flow behind the throat. Some other possible causes of pain in your nose:
history of trauma / impact to the nose or head
infections of the mucosa in the nose (such as ulcers that grow in the nasal cavity)
tumor in the nasal area
tumor in the nasopharyngeal area
Regarding the blood clot that comes out when you rinse, needs to be reconfirmed whether the blood does only come out when you brush your teeth? Does it come out every time you brush your teeth or just once? Bleeding from the nose can indeed flow into the back of the throat and can come out of your mouth too. But generally if the bleeding comes from the nose, blood will also come out of the nose (you will also have a nosebleed). If indeed blood comes out after you brush your teeth (let alone come out every time you brush your teeth), then it is necessary to re-evaluate the possibility of bleeding from your own oral cavity (for example you have cavities or there are injuries to the gums / inside of your oral cavity).
We recommend that you do an examination to the ENT doctor if indeed your symptoms are very disturbing. If you have a cavity condition, check with the dentist as well for further treatment.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
