The Cause Of Sensitive Eyes Seeing Light?
my eyes used to be sensitive to the sun but could still move as usual. But after these 2 years my eyes are very sensitive to sunlight so my activities are disrupted
Good evening, thanks for the question
Eye hypersensitivity to light is called the medical term photophobia. Photophobia is not a diagnosis but symptoms that indicate other underlying disorders. Some disease conditions that can be accompanied by complaints of photophobia include:
1. Migraine headaches
2. Cluster headache (headache in the front area to the eye area)
3. Conjunctivitis (inflammation of the conjunctiva, accompanied by red-eye complaints)
4. Keratitis (inflammation of the cornea, accompanied by red eyes and blurred vision)
5. Dry eyes
6. Cataract (opacification of the lens, marked by visual symptoms such as smoky)
7. Disorders of the retina
8. Disorders of the iris
To find out the exact underlying cause, further examination is needed by an eye doctor. If the cause is known then the treatment can be more specific and targeted so that complaints are expected to be reduced.
If photophobia continues, you may need to use special glasses. Make further consultations with an ophthalmologist.
That's all, hope you can help
