The Cause Of Sweaty Hands Is Just One Side Only?
Good evening, I want to ask my wife that her hand is sweating just one side, I think that it has something to do with the disease, thank you.
Good evening, thanks for the question
Excessive sweating or called hyperhidrosis is a disorder of excessive sweating production that exceeds the body's need to control core body temperature. Sweat is normally produced by the body to compensate for increased body temperature. However, under conditions of hyperhidrosis sweat still results even though there is no increase in body temperature.
This condition occurs due to an excessive stimulus to produce local sweat, called primary hyperhidrosis, and occurs in one area, for example in the palm of the hand, face, armpits, or soles of the feet. Although it often occurs on both sides, it is not impossible if it only occurs on one side of the body.
Hyperhidrosis is generally influenced by genetic factors where other family members also have a similar history. This condition is not fatal even though it can interfere with the daily activities of sufferers. The possibility for spontaneous healing can occur even though it can last for several years.
Treatment for these conditions is to control the production of excessive sweating, among others, by the following methods:
1. Using antiperspirant products
2. Iontophoresis uses electricity
3. Botox injections
Patients are also expected to always maintain a clean body for bathing and changing clothes regularly, considering that moist skin conditions will be more prone to skin infections.
That's all, hope you can help.
