The Cause Of The Appearance Of A Lump On The Roof Of The Mouth?
Mlm. I want to ask in the sky of my mouth there is a lump just behind my front teeth and sometimes it hurts to Graham’s teeth, I feel it on my head, it hurts if I touch my tongue, sometimes it hurts sometimes it doesn’t. In the beginning, after eating, I picked up the leftover food that was beside the inner graham tooth after gouging it hurt because it was exposed to the skin of the ceiling and it bled a little, after 3 or 4 days later a lump appeared, the pain was not necessarily sometimes in the eyelid , sometimes in the jaw, sometimes the front head lands on the back like having a toothache, indeed my teeth are sensitive if the leftover food hurts like eating ice and the teeth are right next to the fangs and graham is a little otek if I hold it … is it dangerous for my lump ??? r nThe shape is oval and the surface is flat if I touch it by the tongue. r nTd I want to break it by a needle but it’s dangerous because I think the lump is in water like skin hit by a hot object. Thank you doctor
Hi Robi, thank you for the question for HealthReplies.com
A lump on the roof of the mouth can occur for several reasons:
sores on the mucosa of the roof of the mouth (as with wounds anywhere else, the sores on the roof of the mouth can cause swelling in the surrounding tissue causing a sensation like a lump on the roof of the mouth)
thrush (canker sores can also be in the form of a painful lump)
mucocele (the appearance of a fluid-filled lump caused by an injury to the salivary gland that causes blockage and fluid buildup in the gland)
nasopalatine cyst (cysts generally do not have any symptoms, but can be painful if irritated or infected)
If it is only caused by a wound on the mucosa of the roof of the mouth or canker sores or mucoceles, the lump will disappear by itself in a few days (10-14 days). While waiting for recovery, you should not dig, poke, or pry with your hands as this can cause infection in the lump.
If within 14 days your lump does not go away, or if the lump is getting painful, bleeding and bleeding is difficult to stop, there is pus or foul smelling discharge coming out of the lump, go to the doctor immediately.
So much information from me, hopefully it will be enough to answer
