Hello. I’m 22 years old. I sometimes sweat when I’m not doing any activity because of the hot air. Lately, I realized that I often sweat only on the right side of the body. At first I thought because the window / source of wind was on my left, but it turned out that the window was on my right and still my right body was sweating while the left wasn’t. Why is that? Is this a serious matter that needs to be examined further? Thanks.

Hello!

Thank you for using the HealthReplies.com consulting service.
Frequent sweating is generally a natural condition for some people. Some of the causes of perspiration include physical activity / sports, psychological effects during stress, fear, anxiety, pregnancy conditions, spicy food, the influence of environmental temperature and body temperature, and various other causes.
Whereas in some people, there are abnormalities that underlie the condition of easy sweating. The condition of easy sweating or excessive sweating is called hyperhidrosis. Some disorders that underlie the occurrence of hyperhidrosis include metabolic disorders such as hyperthyroidism, diabetes, heart problems, infectious diseases such as pulmonary tuberculosis, and can also be affected by the use of certain drugs.
The appearance of sweat on one side of the body is generally normal if sweat production is still within reasonable limits and without any other significant complaints. Activity on one side of the body also affects the onset of perspiration. Apart from bodily activities, sweat production is also regulated by the nervous system and sweat production from sweat glands in the skin layer.
If significant differences are found, for example the production of excessive sweating that is striking only on one side of the body, often repeating for a long time then or accompanied by other complaints such as tremors, palpitations, drastic weight loss then it needs to be aware of and preferably in find the exact cause.
Some things that can affect the production of sweat glands, including:

Anhidrosis, which is a hereditary disorder that causes the sweat glands to not function properly. Neural disorders in the skin layer. Skin disorders such as psoriasis, leprosy, dermatitis, etc. Metabolic disorders such as hyperthyroidism. Chronic infections such as tuberculosis. possible causes along with appropriate treatment options if significant abnormalities in your sweat production are found.

To help reduce complaints, several things can be done, namely:

Wear clothes that are loose, comfortable and absorb sweat. Be diligent in cleaning yourself with a bath 2x a day Avoid stress, anxiety, and other psychological disorders Conditions Enough daily needs of water Consumption of healthy and nutritious food Avoid activities that are too strenuous and rest enough Enough information that I can convey, hopefully it helps
