The Cause Of The Chest, Back And Waist Often Feels Pain?
At night, I want to ask why my chest, back and waist often feel pain when my chest or other parts accidentally rub against objects or (for example: I accidentally scratch a bit hard)?
Hello Donald Langi,
Pain is an unpleasant or uncomfortable sensation arising from disruption in body tissue. The body that can feel pain is important as a defense mechanism, for example when touching hot objects the hands directly pull / avoid. The pain that arises from a stimulus that should not cause pain is called allodynia.
In allodynia the patient feels pain even though it is only touched / rubbed slightly which in normal people does not cause pain. Allodynia can arise due to several neurological disorders. Some causes of allodynia include:
Migraine (pain usually in the head-face)
Patients with allodynia can feel pain from a light touch, for example cleaning the skin with a cotton swab, compressing warm / cold water. The diagnosis can be determined through examination by a doctor. The doctor will check the sensitivity of your nerves using some stimuli, as well as asking for a history of your complaints and previous illnesses. Investigations such as blood tests to ensure the presence or absence of diabetes mellitus (peripheral neuropathy).
Treatment of allodynia is generally by administering pain-reducing drugs such as NSAIDs. Finding out the cause of allodynia is important, so specific treatments can be given. Applying a healthy lifestyle can help reduce complaints. Thus the explanation from me, hopefully useful.
