Hello Tami, Thank you for the question.
What spicy food do you consume? Itching complaints that occur in your mouth and symptoms that previously occurred may be caused by food allergies. Allergic reactions can occur because the immune system that assesses substances that should not be harmful to the body become harmful substances so the body reacts by releasing histamine and other inflammatory substances that cause allergic symptoms. Food allergies are usually triggered by proteins contained in food or drinks and medicines (for example antibiotics or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). What happens to you might be related to foods that happen to be spicy, but it's not the spicy taste itself that triggers itching.
To ascertain this condition, of course it is needed an examination by a doctor directly. If the complaint is very disturbing, please consult with your doctor directly. The doctor will ask your complaint further and conduct an examination on you to find the cause whether the complaint is caused by an allergic reaction or other causes such as eczema or angular cheilitis. The doctor will provide treatment in accordance with the conditions that cause this complaint. Please also try to note whether this complaint is triggered by consumption of certain foods. If so, you are advised to avoid it so as not to trigger similar symptoms. You are also not recommended to scratch the itchy area. Make sure you consume nutritious foods, consume enough water, and still maintain the health of your oral cavity.
Hopefully this information helps.
