The Cause Of The Heartbeat Is Felt On The Left Side Of The Chest?
Why do I sometimes feel like I don’t feel my heartbeat in the left side of my chest? But instead in the crook of the bottom of the throat (I don’t know the name). Why is that?
Thanks for the question. The heart functions to pump blood throughout the body. The heartbeat can be felt in several other parts of the body besides the heart. You can feel a normal heartbeat in the groin (femoral arteries), wrists (radial arteries), and in the neck area (carotid arteries). Thus, if you feel a heartbeat in the neck area, this is normal. Although the heart rate can be felt in the chest area and other areas of the body, it is not easy enough to feel the heart rate because you have to feel it in the right position.
Hope this information is useful.
