The Cause Of The Left Neck Hurts When Looking Up And Feels Lumpy?
Morning, u003cbr u003e My left neck hurts when I look up as if there is a lump, feels a little lump when I touch. Some days I have a sore throat because of the flu. But is that related? I wonder why?
Lumps in the neck can be caused by swollen lymph nodes associated with flu and your throat pain. If it is caused by this, generally the lump and pain will improve themselves after the flu has healed.
However, lumps and pain in the neck can also be caused by several other conditions, including:
Salivary gland stones
Neck muscle tension
Previous history of injury / impact
Disorders of the neck joints
For the time being you can do the following tips:
Get enough rest
Warm compresses on the neck if painful
Avoid massaging or massaging lumps
Manage stress well
Use a more comfortable pillow
Avoid neck movements that are too hard
If after the flu has healed, complaints on the neck do not improve, I suggest that you see a doctor directly so that further tests can be done to ascertain the cause of the lump and pain that is felt. If the cause is confirmed, your doctor can give you more appropriate treatment.
Hope it helps you,
