The Cause Of The Left Stomach Sounds?
Hi, since this morning my left abdomen had been in pain, then every afternoon I moved (deep breath) sounded continuously and very fast. Is that a serious problem?
Hello Nabilancahyani, thank you for the question on HealthReplies.com.
Abdominal pain on the left side can be caused by several conditions such as:
Inflammation of the stomach (gastritis)
Stomach acid disease
Inflammation of the intestine
As for the sounds that are heard from the stomach, this is generally a reasonable condition because normally and unconsciously, our digestive tract in the stomach area (stomach to intestine) will experience movement, so that sometimes it will sound loud in circumstances certain things like when your stomach or intestines are empty because you are hungry.
However, to ascertain what is the cause of your complaint, it is strongly recommended to consult a doctor further. Your doctor will do a thorough evaluation of your physical, especially on the abdomen and may submit several examinations for you to do to determine the cause such as blood tests, abdominal ultrasound, gastrointestinal binoculars or other examinations according to your doctor's consideration. After that, then do a re-evaluation of your physical condition and also the results of your additional examination then the doctor will determine the diagnosis and what therapy will be given to you.
In the meantime, there are a number of things you can try to do to help reduce complaints such as:
Taking antacids according to the dose when a complaint is felt
Avoid the consumption of acidic and spicy foods
Limit consumption of caffeinated beverages such as tea or coffee, and limit consumption of soft drinks
Try to always eat on the same schedule every day to avoid delays in eating
Increase consumption of vegetables, fruits and water
Do regular exercise and get enough rest
I hope this helps.
