The Cause Of The Rash Around The Chest Is Not Itchy?
Good morning towards noon, Doctor … r n r nOn the chest and neck of my husband there is a reddish rash that does not go away after 3 days. My husband’s condition is having a bad cold, so he takes the drug Tremenza (so far, if he has a bad cold, my husband has taken this drug and has never shown an allergic reaction). The rash is not itchy. However, because he was worried that the rash was an allergic reaction, my husband also took Interhistin. Is this an allergic reaction to a drug or is it the effect of the weather which has been raining in my area recently? Or is it because of the water? R n r nThank you.
Hello Raylyn, Thank you for the question.
Before taking any medicine, your husband should know the cause of the appearance of this red rash because different treatments for different conditions are not necessarily the same. This rash can be caused by:
hives prickly heat folliculitis impetigo scabies ringworm contact dermatitis You should advise your husband to consult directly with a doctor because the doctor needs to ask about your husband's complaints and examine the rash in question to find out the cause. From this examination the new doctor can determine the next treatment. In the meantime, please advise your husband to keep his skin clean by taking regular baths twice a day. Avoid sharing clothes and towels with other people. Make sure to wash sheets, pillowcases, and blankets regularly and use a mild detergent.
I hope this helps.
