The Cause Of The Sound As Depressed When Talking?
. I am Ben. I am 16 years old. I want to ask why does my voice suddenly become depressed when speaking my voice is about to run out and why does my voice become difficult to adjust when speaking slowly instead of too slowly when loud speech is too loud. And when I want to laugh it is also difficult to get out of my voice, instead I just smile, if there are people who are funny, then they also talk suddenly and unclear and disconnected. Anyway, it’s time to talk. But in the past I had never experienced such a voice disturbance, even the sound was good, clear and connected when talking. Please the solution, thanks.
Hello Ben, thank you for the question.
Sound is produced when the air from the lungs is exhaled through the vocal cords in the throat. Passing air will vibrate the vocal cords to produce sound. The quality of a person's voice depends on the shape of the vocal cords, the condition of the vocal cords, the shape of the oral cavity, the condition of the tongue, the shape and condition of the nasal cavity, and the shape and condition of the sinus cavity.
When a person experiences vocal cord disorders, the voice can disappear, turn hoarse, turn low, and so on. In your condition it is likely to occur:
Acute or chronic laryngitis, but generally this condition is accompanied by coughing or fever, and sometimes shortness of breath. Laryngitis is caused by a bacterial infection.
Vocal cord injury due to overuse.
Vocal cord polyps.
Vocal fold nodules.
Disorders of the thyroid gland
The worst possibility is cancer of the vocal cords, larynx, nasopharynx, thyroid, or other structures around the throat.
If your voice change has lasted more than 1-2 weeks, you should visit the doctor tht so that further examination can be done. The doctor may perform an examination using a special tool to assess the condition of the throat.
While this limits the use of sound only for important things, limit eating oily, spicy, and sour foods, multiply drinking water. Stop the consumption of cigarettes, avoid caffeine and alcohol.
Hopefully this answer can help. Regards.
