The Cause Of The Throat Feels Phlegm For 1 Month?
Asalamu’alaikum, I have over 1 month my throat has phlegm and it is difficult to get out, and after I drink hot water / cold water from the refrigerator, it always ejects saliva that stares like mucus and is foamy or is I exposed to TB, ??
Thank you for the question.
The following are possible causes of the appearance of phlegm in the throat for approximately 1 month:
Allergy. Asthma. Chronic bronchitis. Pneumonia. COPD. Tuberculosis. This can also be caused by environmental factors such as dryness, dehydration, frequent drinking of coffee, tea or alcohol, consumption of certain drugs, and smoking. If this condition has lasted approximately one month, you should immediately visit a doctor. The doctor will evaluate your complaints such as a fever, sputum getting thicker, shortness of breath, chest pain, or the presence of wheezing, doing a physical examination, and conducting investigations if needed such as sputum examination and chest X-ray so that the doctor can find out the exact cause of the complaint you are handling according with the cause of your complaint.
Here are the things you can do to reduce phlegm production:
Gargling with salt water. Inadequate water needs every day. Sleep with the head slightly raised. Avoiding exposure to perfume, chemicals, and pollution. Stop smoking when smoking. Hopefully this information can help and hopefully get well soon.
