The Danger Of Water That Smells Plastic?
Does the water smell like plastic because it is stored in the bottle harmful to the body? FYI, the bottle can be used repeatedly, thank you
Hello Muhammad Nizar, thank you for your question
Water is the main human need for life. Per day it is estimated that around 2-3 liters of water need to be consumed. Properly, drinking water must meet certain criteria in order not to become a source of disease. Here are some of these criteria:
colorless or cloudy
not in high temperature
does not contain bacteria confirmed by bacteriological examination
does not contain chemicals, including pesticides or disinfectants
Thus, if the water you have smells of plastic, it does not meet the general criteria for drinking water. We recommend that you re-confirm the water source or water storage area that you use. For the time being, you can consume bottled drinking water that is sold freely and has been registered with the BPOM.
