The Drug Tramadol?
Congratulations again, I want to ask if I am a breastfeeding mother and my ankle is 7 months old … I often take tramadol medicine … is it safe for my ankle?
Hello Mamah Alka,
Tramadol is a pain reliever drug used to treat moderate to severe pain. Tramadol itself is often abused or consumed without a doctor's prescription, which can have dangerous side effects. Pregnant or nursing women are prohibited from using tramadol without a doctor's prescription. Tramadol itself can be excreted in breast milk. Therefore, avoid using tramadol without supervision or without a doctor's prescription.
In this case it does not mean that tramadol cannot be used in breastfeeding mothers, tramadol should only be used if it is prescribed by a doctor and its use is supervised by a doctor and with an appropriate dose. Tramadol itself has a maximum dose per day which should not be more and should be considered in its use in several medical conditions. Tramadol side effects include:
Dizziness and lightheadedness
Nausea and vomiting
Constipation and difficulty urinating
In children tramadol can cause more serious side effects that can be life-threatening.
May be useful,
