Hello Rio,

Have you confirmed that you have scabies? What complaints are you feeling right now? Scabies is a contagious skin disease caused by scabies infection. Scabies causes reddish spots sometimes runny or festering, itchy especially at night, and more between the fingers, groin, or body folds.

Examination needed is by history taking, physical examination, and supporting examination with skin scraping test. Treatment of scabies can be with permethrin, ivermectin, and sulfur. The healing process depends on the treatment given. In general, symptoms will decrease after 1 week of treatment. But itching can still be felt up to 4 weeks afterwards.

If treatment is missed (for example, use of uneven permethrin ointment), scabies may recur. If in one house there are still infected with scabies, it is very possible that transmission will also occur to you. As for former scabies, it takes longer to fade.

If you are currently experiencing the same complaint again, you should consult a doctor directly so that further tests can be done to ensure your condition and so that you can be given more optimal treatment. If in one house there are those who also experience complaints, it's good to be examined and treated too.

Hope it helps you,

Thank you
