The Ear Aches, The Headache Feels Tense And Shortness Of Breath?
Good morning doctor. I want a consultation. I was sick a month ago. if according to the doctor because of high stomach acid and up to the ear because of my good diet. It’s been 1 month if the stomach, it’s better, but in my ears it still hurts, the head is also not dizzy but like there is tension in the head, back neck, back pain from waist to waist, and shortness of breath. Why is that?
Good evening, thanks for the question
Complaints of headaches from the back to the neck and back with sufficiently heavy intensity may be a symptom of Tension Type Headache (TTH) or chronic tension type headaches. This type of headache is often associated with an increase in stress, one of which may be an increase in stomach acid conditions.
This stress condition causes stiffness in the muscles of the head, neck, shoulders, and head vascularization resulting in quite disturbing headaches. However, headaches are generally not accompanied by typical pain in the ear. There were no significant findings on a general physical and nerve examination to diagnose this tension-strained headache. The diagnosis is made based on the symptoms and risk factors that exist.
Treatment in this condition is indicated in the underlying condition, for example in this case it is triggered by chronic inflammation of the stomach, analgesic and muscle relaxants if needed. While related complaints of pain in the ear if it persists, or accompanied by spinning dizziness, ringing, or hearing loss should consult further with an ENT specialist. In addition, if headaches and disorders of the ear are accompanied by fever, muscle stiffness, spasms, visual disturbances, limb weakness, or speech disorders, then immediately do a direct examination with a doctor to rule out possible interference with the nerves in the head.
That's all, hope you can help.
