The Ear Feels Full And Painful.?
Previously, I had visited the doctor in January the doctor said that my ear infection was then prescribed potassium drug diclofenac, doxycyxline and otopain and regained control for 1 week again. After 1 week the ear therapy didn’t feel full & pain but I didn’t control. After 2 weeks of the initial control, I finally went to the doctor again because my ear was put in water and it felt full again. Pain then the doctor cleaned my ear again. given a tampon in addition to the new recipe doxycline, meloxicam u0026amp; US. Acetate. Two days later I was told to remove the tampon, after removing the tampon the ear didn’t feel full anymore but it only lasted 2 days. Now again my ears feel painful again full. When the tampon was released, the doctor advised him not to continue taking the drug except antibiotics. So what should I do?
Hello, Kaaprilia. Thank you for the question submitted to HealthReplies.com.
Ear pain accompanied by a feeling of fullness can be caused by several possibilities, the most common example:
Acute otitis externa (inflammation of the external ear, symptoms: severe ear pain when the earlobe is pulled / touched, swollen or reddish in the ear or ear canal, fever, which can be accompanied by discharge from the ear) Acute otitis media (inflammation of the inner ear middle, symptoms: ear pain, ear feels full, decreased hearing function, fever, which can be accompanied by discharge or fever.Generally associated with infections of the upper respiratory tract that block the Eustachian tubes connecting the middle ear and nasopharynx, so there can be symptoms of coughing, cold, or nasal congestion Serumen prop (ear wax [the production of glands in the ear] which hardens and clogs the ear) To determine the cause of ear complaints, history taking and physical examination by physician. Therefore, you are advised to see a doctor or ENT specialist. The doctor will examine the external ear and use an ear examination aid (otoscope) to be able to examine the deeper parts of the ear.
As a recommendation at home, you can use paracetamol in accordance with the rules of use listed on the drug packaging to relieve pain. It is also recommended to eat balanced nutritious food regularly, do not dig ear canal which has the potential to cause trauma and infection in the ear canal, and reduce the pull / touch of the ear that hurts.
