The Eye Feels Sore And Aches Like Flickering?
Assallammualaikum, I want to ask for 2 days, my eyes feel like glazing, and when I wake up, sleep is always painful and it feels like flickering, even though the dirt that enters my eyes has been removed.
Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
Discomfort in the eyes, ie, aches and pains, such as flickering can occur due to a variety of reasons:
Inserting animals, dust or other foreign matter
Eye irritation, for example due to exposure to smoke, wind, UV rays
Xeroftalmia (dry eye)
Eyelash growth abnormalities (trichiasis, entropion, ectropion)
Allergies, for example due to cold, pollen, certain eye drops
Eye infections, such as conjunctivitis, uveitis, endophthalmitis
Acute closed angle glaucoma, and so on
Our advice, you check your complaint directly to the doctor or ophthalmologist to be given the best treatment in accordance with the conditions that underlie your complaints. Usually, a mild condition will improve considerably with the administration of several topical medications, such as eye drops or ointments. However, your doctor may also direct you to do further tests, such as slit lamps, ophthalmoscopy, measurement of pressure in the eyeball, and so on.
You can first do the following steps as initial management:
Compress the sore eyes and pain with warm water
Drop artificial tears (artificial tears) so that inflammation in the eye is reduced
Protect your eyes from getting into foreign objects, such as wearing glasses
Do not rub your sore eyes or provide any treatment without a doctor's prescription
Take care of personal hygiene, including your eye area
First reduce activities that are tiring to the eye, such as reading or staring at gadgets for too long
Hope this helps ...
