The Fever Goes Up And Down But The Negative Widal Test Results?
About widal as a start to see whether there are patients affected by types of disease, this is day 5, I lay lemes at home because of fever and sometimes up and down, on day 4 kmrn I control again to the doctor to fix why the fever is still up and down, finally my blood was checked, the result was 1/160 negative, then it was stated that it was not type, then I was advised to keep taking the medicine that was given to me 4hr ago, my question was whether the type of illness was high, if it went up, then it didn’t explain.
Fever is most often a sign of infection. Fever can be caused by typhus, dengue, malaria, urinary tract infections, hepatitis, infections of the ear, and infections of the lungs. Typhus itself is a bacterial infection in the digestive tract. Symptoms include fever, abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, nausea, and vomiting. What symptoms do you feel besides fever?
To ensure typhus, the doctor will conduct anamnesis / interview, physical examination, and supporting examinations for example with the TUBEX test and widal test. In this case the TUBEX test is faster and more accurate than widal. Widal test itself can still be used, but interpretation must be more careful because in Indonesia itself is typhus endemic, so many of the results of the test are positive even though they are not currently affected by typhus.
As for the treatment of typhus is with antibiotics and supporting drugs such as painkillers, fever-reducing, anti-nausea. What medicines are given to you? Have you done another test? What about the results of the other blood tests?
It is difficult to ascertain your condition without conducting a direct examination. For the time being I suggest that you take medicine from the doctor in accordance with the doctor's recommendations. If the drug has run out but still has a fever, you should contact the treating doctor so that you can re-evaluate the results of your treatment and if necessary, further treatment can be given.
