.. I want to ask about my fingers after heating 6 months ago which were stiff, when touched they felt like they were electrocuted and stung. If you look at the fingernails after heating, they are convex and pale in color and slightly thinner than the other fingers. rnEvery time I hit the water and the cold climate, my finger after heating it is always pale and blue.. Until now, for activities, my finger is still very stiff and the nails are hard, not like the other nails.. last week I consulted to nerves and he suggested taking mecobalamin and folic acid. After a few days of taking the medicine, the pain has reduced a bit but is still pale bluish in color, the nails are still stiff and hard.. please explain and solve it..thank you

Hi Riris

When an injury occurs, the wound is even wide enough that it requires stitches, indicating that many body tissues have been damaged as a result of the trauma. Not infrequently blood vessels, nerve tissue, muscle tissue and bone become damaged, so that eventually even though the wound has closed it will leave several complaints, ranging from appearance problems that tend to leave scars and their shape changes to the emergence of several complaints such as limited movement (compared to before getting injured), easy to feel pain, easy to feel sore.

The solution to this complaint depends on what is the root cause, if for example if it is caused by damage to the muscle tissue so that it tends to be pulled to one side then reconstructive surgery (an attempt to restore function and shape) is the solution. However, it is different if it is due to nerve tissue damage that is the cause, as well as if the cause is due to impaired blood flow or because of the shape of the fractured/sheard/broken bone.

Consult this again with the doctor so that an examination of the condition of your finger can be carried out, so the doctor may refer you to the relevant field for further treatment according to the results of the examination, such as general surgeon, plastic surgeon, neurologist, surgeon neurosurgery, bone surgery, or vascular surgery (blood vessels).

Hope it is useful
