The Importance Of The Tetanus Vaccine?
At night, I want to ask? From the start I want to get married until I give birth to my first child and now I am pregnant with my second child for 5 months, I have never been given a TT injection. So what should I do ?? Thanks
Hello Bee Arda, thank you for using the HealthReplies.com service.
TT (Tetanus Toxoid) vaccination aims to provide immunity against tetanus. This vaccine is recommended to be given to everyone, especially women who are about to get married and women who are temporarily pregnant to prevent the occurrence of tetanus neonatorum in the baby to be born.
The vaccine is given 5 times, namely:
TT 1 vaccination: First time giving
TT Vaccination 2: 4 Weeks after first administration
TT 3 vaccination: At least 6 months after TT 2 administration
TT 4 vaccination: At least 1 year after giving TT 3
TT 5 vaccination: At least 1 year after giving TT 4
I suggest you to visit a general practitioner or obstetrician and gynecologist in order to get a TT vaccination and don't forget to record the date of the vaccination so you can plan your next TT vaccination schedule.
