The Location Of Arteries And Veins?
Where are the arteries and veins located?
Hello Nandana Tsany,
Arterial and venous blood vessels are located in all parts of the body from the head, face, eyes, nose, to the feet. Veins are usually more superficial (closer to the surface) and appear greenish / bluish under the skin. The size of veins is usually larger but the walls are thinner and softer than arteries. Veins are usually in charge of delivering blood back to the heart. Arterial blood vessels are usually located deeper (not visible on the skin) and can be palpated, normally following the rate of the heartbeat. Arterial blood vessels have thicker walls than veins. Arterial blood vessels are usually in charge of delivering blood from the heart to the entire body.
Every artery and vein in our body has a naming of each and has the function of flowing blood from and to certain tissues / organs. For more details, you can see the anatomic atlases.
Thus the explanation from me, may be useful.
