Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com. I am dr. Princess Claudya will help answer your questions.
First of all where on the leg are you referring to the bump? Because bumps on the feet can be caused by many things depending on the location and the underlying conditions. In general, some bumps on the feet are caused by:
Ganglion cysts: appear in the joint area and contain joint fluid Plantar fibroma: benign tumor located on the soles of the feet Lipoma: a benign tumor originating from the fatty tissue Tofus: a lump due to the buildup of uric acid in the joint, most commonly in the big toe joint Warts: a benign lump skin-colored, bumpy surface Boils: reddish lump filled with pus, painful when pressing Clavus / fish eye: lump in the form of thickening of the layer of skin on the area that is pressed on the soles of the feet Malignancy: characterized by a lump that enlarges rapidly. Can be accompanied by other symptoms such as weight loss drastically. To determine the cause of your complaint, you should further consult with the surgeon. The doctor will dig further into your complaint and will perform an examination of the lump. If necessary, the doctor will perform a supporting examination in the form of blood tests or a lump biopsy. And after that the doctor will provide treatment for your complaint according to the underlying conditions.
Things you can do to improve and prevent worsening of your disease are:
Avoid pressing, scratching, cutting, or removing the contents of the lump. Ensure that the area of the lump is always clean. Use soft, comfortable footwear, and according to the size and shape of your feet. If you feel pain, you can warm the area or take a pain reliever. over the counter such as paracetamol to relieve your symptoms, while waiting to see a doctor. This is my explanation. Hopefully helpful and useful. Get better soon :)
