The Lump Reappeared After FAM Surgery?
Good evening, I’m a 26 year old RT motherrnI’ve had FAM surgery 2x and now it’s only 1 year from the 2nd surgery there is another lump, I haven’t consulted with a specialist yet because I’m only 3 months from giving birth, I’m worried about the breast milk I gave it to my baby, I was afraid that it would be dangerous and I was afraid that if I had an operation, I couldn’t give breast milk to my baby anymore, please explain.rnThank you.
Good morning, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. FAM or fibroadenoma mammary is a type of tumor, or abnormal protrusion that is benign and very common in the breast. It is said to be benign, because FAM is different from cancer which can spread to the bones, to the brain and can be life threatening. FAM usually does come and go, especially during menstruation, but it is not painful and not dangerous.
In your case, actually because it can come and go on its own, not having surgery is not a problem from a health perspective. So you don't have to do the 3rd FAM operation. Because there is no guarantee that if you continue to operate, FAM will not grow again.
Then regarding breastfeeding, FAM does not affect the quality and quantity of your breast milk so you don't have to worry about continuing to breastfeed your child. If you want to know more about FAM, click the following link to our article about FAM. I hope you and your family are always healthy.
That's all, hope it helps.
