, I want to ask. I work in an air conditioner room and I often feel my nose hurts in my forehead area between my eyes and up to my head, why is that? then what should I do to overcome it?

1 Answer:

Hello Nurul,

Thank you for the question.

Exposure to dry air during activities in an air-conditioned room can indeed irritate the nasal cavity, causing a sensation of pain, itching, and tenderness that often radiates to the forehead, eyes, and other areas of the head. These complaints often appear more severe in people who basically have problems with the nasal cavity, for example due to allergic rhinitis, infectious rhinitis, vasomotor rhinitis, medical rhinitis, sinusitis, polyps or other tumors around the nasal cavity, cystic fibrosis, and so on.

It could also, apart from irritation or other problems around the nasal cavity, the pain you feel refers to other conditions, such as migraines, trigeminal neuralgia, cluster headaches, cerebral aneurysms, brain tumors, and many other medical conditions.

In order for your complaints to improve, try doing the following steps first:

If possible, change your work position so that it is not too close together or facing the air conditioner. Use a humidifier water and drink plenty of warm water so that the nose is not too dry. Warm compresses on the nasal area, and the surrounding areas are painful. from allergens and airway irritants, including cold, dust, pollution, smoke, pollen, cotton, etc. Keep your environment where you live and work always clean Enough sleep Do not over-look at gadgets Regular exercise and live a healthy lifestyle If the steps in for you have done but your complaint still does not improve, we recommend that you go to see yourself directly to the doctor or ENT doctor. Depending on the cause, later the doctor can give you different treatments. It could also be, later you will be referred to a neurologist in order to get further treatment.

Hope this helps ...
