The Possibility Of Getting HIV And Gonorrhea Due To Risky Sex Without Protection?

I’m confused, I’m afraid I got gonorrhea 3 weeks ago due to a risky relationship without protection… Gonorrhea is cured but now I’m afraid of being infected with HIV. Hiv and gonorrhea are different, can it be 1?

Hello, Bagas. Thanks for the question to the HealthReplies.com team.
Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease that occurs due to infection with the bacterium Neisseria gonorrhoeae. The most typical symptom of this disease is gonorrhea. Prompt detection and appropriate treatment can increase the cure rate for gonorrhea.
However, people with sexually transmitted diseases, including gonorrhea, are a group at risk for HIV infection. People with HIV can have gonorrhea, but people with gonorrhea do not necessarily have HIV. Therefore, there is nothing wrong if you go to the nearest health center or doctor to undergo an HIV test in order to confirm the presence of the virus in your body.
Avoid unprotected sexual intercourse and try not to change sexual partners to avoid HIV.
