The Puerperium After A Miscarriage Without Curettage?
Good afternoon. I just had a miscarriage but without a curette, I guess how many weeks the puerperium continues, sometimes the stomach feels pain, that’s the effect of the miscarriage, what is the effect of something else. Thank you
The length of bleeding due to miscarriage depends on several factors, the main one being whether there is still tissue left or not. If the pregnancy is still young, the tissue has been completely removed, usually the bleeding is brief, it can be like a period or a maximum of two weeks. If the womb is older, the bleeding may take longer. If there is some tissue remaining, the bleeding may not stop and it can be profuse and life-threatening. Medicines to help with uterine contractions can also be given to speed up the process.
Pain or heartburn that occurs is very natural because the uterus is contracting. But if the pain is accompanied by profuse bleeding, so you have to change pads every hour or you feel dizzy, weak, pale, and you want to faint, you should immediately go to the nearest emergency room.
Don't forget to go to the obstetrician to make sure the rest of the tissue is clean. If you haven't already done so, do it right away to avoid dangerous situations.
