Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Swelling in the feet can be caused by many possibilities. If the swelling occurs on just one leg, then several possible causes include:
injuries to the feet, for example, broken bones, joint dislocations, injuries to the soft tissue around the bones and joints such as tears in muscles, tendons, joint exchanges, etc.
blockage in the veins in the legs
obstruction of the lymphatic glands in the legs (for example due to an infection or tumor)
foot infections (such as cellulitis)
inflammation of the joints (arthritis)
If the swelling that you mean occurs on both feet, then some possibilities include:
disorders of the heart
disorders of the liver / liver
side effects of certain drugs
Basically, swelling in the legs (especially if it occurs in one leg only) is an abnormal condition and needs further examination. It is best to check with your doctor for evaluation and find the cause.
For now, to be able to reduce swelling, you can try to lift your legs higher when you sit or lie down, don't stand still much (try to move your feet when you stand), don't walk too much if there is pain too accompanying swelling.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
