The Right Ear Hole Seems To Shrink?
Assalamuallaikum … I am 24 years old, 1 year lately I feel that the right ear canal seems to shrink and it seems like there is a clogging in it … Almost every day I use hadseat, what might that be the cause? ?
Anatomically, the ear canal cannot shrink in such a way. The use of a headset is also not related to this. Use too often with too high a volume, causing you to have a high risk for experiencing sensory deafness. This type of deafness is caused by damage to auditory nerve cells in the inner ear due to continuous loud noise exposure. After the auditory nerve cell is damaged, the cell cannot regenerate into new cells, so hearing will continue to decrease gradually.
The feeling of blockage that you feel, may occur due to cerumen blockage (ear wax). Cerumen blockage is generally caused by someone cleaning the ear with a cotton bud. The large size of the cotton bud will actually push the cerumen inward and solidify, thus clogging. The feeling of being blocked is often accompanied by decreased listening ability
Consult this matter with the doctor ent. Doctors need to assess the condition of your ears directly. Is your ear blocked by cerumen or there is an initial nerve deafness in your ear, or is there another disorder. If there is indeed a cerumen blockage, the doctor will do serumen irrigation then proceed with suction, or maybe the doctor may prescribe ear drops to soften the cerumen.
Limit the time and volume you hear with a headset. Avoid cleaning ears with cottonbuds. Clean the ears with a special tool made of metal or bamboo, with a small spoon at the end.
Hopefully this answer can help. Regards.
