The Right Ear Is Like A Sound After The Left Ear Is Treated?
Hello doctor, 2 or 3 days ago I went to see an ENT expert because of the left ear (sahaja) I had a hearing problem and after the doctor checked my left ear, the disease was called meniere and was given betahistine medication. After a few days later suddenly my right ear there was a crackle crackle why? Are there any medications or problems? Is there a serious problem?
Meniere's disease is a condition of abnormalities in the inner ear that can cause complaints in the form of spinning dizziness, ringing in the ears, ears feeling full, and hearing loss arises.
The cause of Meniere's disease is uncertain, but it is thought to be triggered by abnormal fluid in the ear (endolymph). To ensure meniere's disease the doctor needs to do anamnesis, physical examination, and supporting examinations if necessary with audiometry tests and balance tests. Meniere's disease management will be adjusted to the condition and symptoms of the patient, one of them with betahistine.
Was your right ear not complained before? Crackle ear crackles can be caused by several factors such as:
There is a foreign body or animal in the ear
Insertion of ear fluid
Obstruction of earwax
Infection of the ear canal
Disorders of the auditory nerve
Exposure to noise or too loud
Side effects of several types of drugs
Other medical conditions, such as hypertension
If there were no problems before then there was a crackle-crackling sound in the ear, I suggest that you control back to the ENT doctor so that you can examine your right ear as well as an evaluation of your left ear. After ascertaining the cause of the ear crackling sounds, then the doctor can provide further treatment for you if needed.
While waiting for control, you can do the following tips:
Avoid cleaning the ears too deep
Take care not to get in the ear with fluids and other foreign matter
Avoid exposure to noise that is too loud and noisy
Listen to soft music when in a very quiet room
Get enough rest
Hope it helps you,
