The Right Eye Is Red With Pain And Blurred Vision?
Good morning. I want to ask, My right eye is red and painful. Then my vision is blurry. There was a similar incident in my left eye. But I was advised to take medicine, the redness disappeared and gradually a white membrane appeared around my black eyeball and until now my left eye has a blurry vision. The initial occurrence of my left eye seemed to have occurred in my right eye. I want to ask, what kind of eye disease is this ?? Thank you doctor.
Hello Tomico, thanks for your question
The white membrane that covers the cornea (the part of the eye that looks black from the outside) can be caused by various eye diseases, including:
corneal brush - begins with an ulcer that occurs in the cornea, then undergoes a healing process that causes scarring (cicatricial)
Until now, there are no eye drops or oral medication to remove cystic acid, as for the right treatment is a corneal pterygium transplant (graft) - a yellowish-white membrane that forms from the outside of the eye on the nose, continues into the eye
if you interfere with vision, handling by surgical removal of these membranes. It would be a good idea to have your eye health checked by an ophthalmologist. Through a slit lamp examination, the doctor can evaluate the front of the eye, followed by an ophthalmoscope if necessary to assess the structure of the eye at the back of the lens. While waiting for doctor's treatment, avoid touching or rubbing your eyes.
Hopefully this is useful
