The Right Solution To Treat Cavities Since Childhood?
Hello doctor.. So I’m 16 years old, a year ago I had an accident and it caused my shoulder blade to slide, after 1 month of treatment I was completely healed. Since that incident, I have had frequent toothaches, even though before in 1 year I rarely had toothaches. I have had cavities in my lower molars since I was a child, I used to want to pull my teeth out, but my parents forbade me to let it go until now, as a result, my teeth have a very large hole and almost no crowns. Lately, I often have toothache accompanied by throbbing in the ear, I want to remove my tooth but my parents suggested that it be patched but I don’t think it can be patched anymore.rnrnThe question is.. What solution should I take , pull out my lower molars or fill them! If the solution is to extract a tooth, what side effects will it have on my ears and hearing?
Hi Yulia.. Thank you for the question given.
Cavities can occur due to the buildup of plaque on the teeth, over time this plaque can cause cavities. Cavities that are not treated properly can cause toothache, swelling of the gums, pockets of pus formed on the teeth and gums, which can cause endocarditis and sinusitis. Seeing the many negative effects of cavities, it is better to have treatment at the dentist.
The doctor will conduct an in-person examination and may be advised to take a dental X-ray first to see the condition of your teeth. Later from the results of the dentist's examination can suggest what action is appropriate to take. The filling can be done with root canal treatment first to make sure there is no further infection. Meanwhile, if the tooth can not be maintained then the tooth will be extracted. The ear pain that you experience can be due to the pain in the tooth that you feel so much that it spreads to the surrounding area.
Hope it is useful
