The Right Testicle Is Larger And Feels Painful?
Good afternoon. I want to ask before that I had gonorrhea (gonorrhea) 1 week ago, had gone to a specialist in skin and genitals and was given 2 tablets of Zibramax 500mg (one time drink), widoxil capsul, Xidane. And lately it started to get better, no pus + fever, only recently my right testicle has pain and is bigger than the left. Is this still a normal state of the healing process? Thanks.
Hello Anggoro, thank you for the question for HealthReplies.com
Enlargement of the testicles is not a normal condition. If you have a history of gonorrhea, it is possible that your enlarged testicles accompanied by pain are caused by bacterial orchitis. Bacterial orchitis is inflammation of the testicles caused by a bacterial infection. The commonest causes are gonorrhea and chlamydia infections. Other causes of enlargement of the testicles include:
hydrocele varicocele epididymal cyst or testicular torsion spermatocele or the occurrence of twisting of the testicular hanging tissue testicular hernia cancer In this case, it's a good idea to see a Urologist for further tests. This condition should not be left alone for too long because it can be dangerous and cause fertility problems if not treated properly.
While you are in therapy, it is best to avoid sexual intercourse or use a condom when you have sex. Take your partner to get checked out too so you can get treatment if your partner also has Gonorrhea. This is very important in order not to spread the disease between you and your partner.
So much information from me, hopefully it will be enough to answer
