The Scar From The Appendix Was 12 Stitches And It Still Hurts?
Good afternoon. My husband 3 weeks ago had appendicitis, with 12 stitches. At this time the external wound is completely dry. Is the internal wound dry like the outside? Because my husband often feels pain in the stitches.
Appendix is an inflammation and infection of the appendix which can trigger symptoms, especially lower abdominal pain, fever, nausea and vomiting, loss of appetite, to constipation and diarrhea. Handling is with surgery.
The operation itself can be done with a variety of techniques depending on the conditions that arise. In general, incisions can be made in the lower abdomen area to remove the appendix. Self healing time is different for each individual where normally 4-6 weeks can be back on the move.
If you still experience pain it can be natural during the healing period. If the wound is dry, there are no signs of infection such as fever, abdominal pain, blood in the urine, swelling in the area around the operation then there is no need to worry. Can reduce pain by compressing the painful part with a cold or warm compress and taking pain relief if needed. Keep the wound dry and clean until the healing process is complete. Control also periodically and do physical activity gradually to help the healing process. Do not forget to also maintain the intake of nutrients, especially protein to help heal wounds.
