The Shape Of The Love Uterus, Normal Or Abnormal?
Good evening. I am a mother with 2 children, age 31 years. 7mth ago I gave birth to twins with the SC process. During the SC process, the SPOG doctor who dealt with me “didn’t want the mother to get pregnant with twins, your mother’s uterus was in love?” I wanted to ask, was the uterus in the form of Love normal or abnormal? And the danger is not for me?
The shape of the uterus of every woman may not be 100% the same, in general the shape of the uterus is said to be normal if the shape resembles the shape of a pear but there are conditions where the shape of a person's uterus looks like the shape of "love" or known in the medical world as bicornuate uterus / bicorporeal uterus (BU) .
BU is a deformity of the uterus where the shape of the uterus in general is like a pear, but in the condition of the BU there is a curve at the top that is deep enough, so it looks like a heart shape / "love". Although included as a deformity in general, the condition of BU does not affect fertility, the risk of miscarriage or the occurrence of birth peramtur is much higher in women with the shape of the uterus BU.
BU's condition does not endanger your health, so you should not worry too much, because most differences in the shape of the uterus do not require special treatment. However, due to the risk of complications during pregnancy then if the mother gets pregnant again it is advisable to routinely control pregnancy so that the risk of miscarriage or premature birth can be minimized.
