The Skin Becomes Excessively Swollen After Being Scratched Or Scratched?
I had an allergy about 10 days ago, my skin is red and itchy. But now even though it’s gone because I have taken a doctor’s medicine, why would my face be so sensitive and swollen when I press it a little. Likewise, other areas if scratched will cause red marks. Never before.
Hi William, thank you for the question for HealthReplies.com
The condition in which the skin becomes excessively swollen after being scratched or scratched is known as dermographism. Dermographism is a form of physical urticaria, which is a defined reddish protrusion on the skin that arises from physical contact. Symptoms such as raised and reddish skin due to dermographism usually last only a short time, which is about 30 minutes, and will go away on their own. In some cases, these symptoms can last a day or more. Symptoms can worsen due to several other things such as too hot or too cold air, too dry air, certain foods or medications, stress, etc.
In most people, the symptoms of dermographism are usually mild and unobtrusive so that they do not need specific therapy, but in a small percentage of people, dermographism can cause quite severe symptoms such as large swelling, itching, burning sensation, which does not go away immediately. In cases of severe dermographism, antihistamine drugs may be given to reduce symptoms.
Some other things you can do include:
use creams that contain oatmeal extract, tea tree oil, or aloe vera to help reduce itching and swelling avoid things that can trigger or aggravate symptoms avoid using coarse clothes and scratching the skin keep your skin moist, use skin moisturizers regularly if the skin you are classified as dry skin
So much information from me, hopefully it will be enough to answer
