The Skin Becomes Sensitive, Dry, Easily Peels And Redness?
I want to ask, so I was previously diagnosed with vasculitis. After I was diagnosed with vasculitis I felt my skin became sensitive, very often my skin was bitten by mosquitoes which turned into rash that felt dry and itchy. And it’s also been 2 weeks I feel the middle finger of my left hand becomes dry to peel the skin and turn reddish and warm but this only happens to my middle finger and the others are normal. Does this have something to do with vasculitis. Or other abnormalities? Please answer. Thanks.
Thank you for the question.
Vasculitis is a disease that is caused by inflammation of blood vessels so that changes in blood vessels occur, such as thickening, narrowing, weakening, and scars that are prone to appear. It can also disrupt blood flow and cause damage to organs and tissues. Vasculitis can be caused by the body's reaction to drugs, infections, or autoimmune diseases.
Vasculitis itself has each type with different symptoms, which you can read more about in the article here. However, common symptoms that appear in arteritis can be aches, night sweats, headaches, fever, and the appearance of symptoms on the skin that are usually marked by the appearance of reddish rashes that feel itchy so the skin feels sensitive. To overcome the redness and dryness of your skin you can apply a moisturizer, or apply it with a low dose corticosteroid cream that you can get at the doctor.
Hope this helps.
