The Sloping Neck Tends To One Side?
Night . I experience my neck tends to tilt to right. I have seen a doctor. He said what movements I forgot. And finally I was given a sedative first. I have to wait for a week if there are no results I have to check it in the lab. What is this result? Then what should I do?
Hello, thanks for the question.
The sloping neck tends to one side usually caused by abnormalities in the neck. This disorder is commonly known as torticollis. The causes of various torticollis can be caused by:
Neck injury or injury
Inflammation of the spinal cushions
Ligamentous weakness (connecting bone to bone)
Abnormalities of position when in the womb
To ascertain the cause must be examined directly by a doctor and several additional examinations. The doctor will conduct an examination first and supporting examinations if needed such as blood tests, x-rays, CT scans, MRI, and others. Handling torticollis usually with the condition and severity that occurs. Commonly used drugs aim to reduce complaints such as pain and stiffness in the neck using pain relievers, muscle relaxants, etc. to suggest surgical procedures and physiotherapy. Therefore, if after being given initial therapy there is no improvement you should consult your doctor again. To reduce complaints can be helped by warm compresses and gentle massages on the neck area.
Thus, hopefully it helps.
