Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
When pregnancy enters the age of 24 weeks, normally the fetus weighs about 600 grams with a head to heel length of about 30 cm. Therefore, the mother can easily feel the fetus from outside.
Asymmetrical belly shape during pregnancy, which is bigger and harder on the right side of the body, is usually not a dangerous condition. This condition can occur due to differences in the position of the fetus in your womb. Larger and harder palpable mass is usually formed from the head or back. Meanwhile, the stomach that is inhabited by the fingers, buttocks, and stomach will feel smaller and also soft. The position of the fetus will continue to rotate until it generally settles after the pregnancy enters over 7 months of age.
A stomach that looks bigger on one side during pregnancy can also be affected by the position of the placenta (placenta) that is implanted in the uterus. In most cases, the placenta will be implanted on the upper side of the uterus. However, in other conditions, the placenta can also be implanted on the right or left side of the uterus so that it looks more prominent.
All you need to do is, have your pregnancy checked regularly to an obstetrician. You are advised to check yourself every 1 month until the gestational age reaches 7 months, 2 weeks at 8 months of gestation, and once a week from 36 weeks of gestation until delivery time. Through an ultrasound examination, you can generally identify what is causing the difference between the two sides of your stomach. If the doctor doesn't say there is a condition to watch out for, then there's no need to worry, huh ..
Always keep your pregnancy by eating healthy and nutritious foods, drinking enough, and reducing activities that are too tiring. Stay away from exposure to acids, cigarettes and pollution. And calm your mind from excessive pressure.
Hope this helps ..
