The Testicles Are Swollen 2 Days After Varicocele Surgery?
2 days after varicocele surgery, how come my testicles are swollen? Is this reasonable? Or how about that ?? Please answer ..
Hello Syuaib, Thank you for the question.
Varicocele is a dilation of veins in the scrotum which causes the appearance of a lump in the scrotum. Surgery is usually recommended for varicocele sufferers who experience complaints of discomfort or pain in the varicocele or if the patient experiences fertility problems. Swelling after surgery can be a normal condition (inflammation after surgery) but can also indicate complications after surgery (eg hydrocele or infection).
Is this complaint accompanied by pain in the testicles, pain when urinating, difficulty urinating, penile discharge, fever? If so, you can immediately consult your urologist who is treating you for further tests such as urine testing, penile fluid examination, and ultrasound to determine the cause. Further treatment will be given by a doctor according to your condition. If no symptoms are found, you don't need to worry but keep monitoring your symptoms. You can cold compress the swollen area. If the swelling does not improve with cold compresses, you are also advised to consult a doctor further.
For now, in addition to cold compresses, you are also advised to avoid intercourse, avoid strenuous physical activity including lifting heavy weights, and avoid straining.
I hope this helps.
