The Testpack Results Are Positive Because Of Excessive Vit C?
Hello … I’m Stephanie, 24 years old. I was late for my period just about 3 days, I tried a testpack and two faint but clear lines appeared. But lately I am routinely consuming Black Mores I folic (folic acid content) and CDR (vit C 1000mg). Is the positive possibility false positive? I hope it’s a positive positive: ’) r n r nPlease explain. Thank you in advance.
Hello Stephanie, thanks for asking :)
Basically, the test pack is positive if the urine contains pregnancy hormone (beta hCG) which is sufficient to make the substances in the test pack strip to react. In your situation, to find out whether the results are false positive results or not, you can do a double check, about 1 week after your period is late and also consult an obstetrician to conduct an ultrasound examination.
However, it should also be noted that there are some circumstances in which a test pack can produce false positive results, such as in:
Error in the procedure of using a test pack, because each test pack has a procedure for each of them, it is strongly recommended to carry out the procedure appropriately so that the results are more precise Previous history of miscarriage Pregnancy grapes (hydatidiform mole) pregnancy programs with doctors Certain diseases such as disorders of the pregnancy hormone production center, cancer (ovarian, colon, lung, breast, kidney and liver cancer), ovarian cysts or diseases of the kidneys and ducts May help.
